Step 1 – Download Adobe Digital Editions
· Visit http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/ to download the free software.
Step 2 – Activate the software
· The first time you open Adobe Digital Editions a prompt will display asking you to activate the software. You can choose to…
o Authorize your computer using an Adobe ID. This will allow you to download and transfer titles to up to six computers and devices activated with the same Adobe ID. To obtain an Adobe ID, visit https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/membership/index.cfm.
o Activate the software without authorizing your computer. This option will not allow you to transfer downloaded titles to supported eBook devices or other computers.
Step 3 – Browse, Check Out, and Download
· Browse or search http://bibliomation.lib.overdrive.com/ for downloadable eBooks. When you find a title you're interested in, add it to “My List” and check it out.
· Once you have checked out a title, a download page will display. Click the 'Download' link to start the download. When the download is complete, open and enjoy the title.
· Titles expire at the end of the loan period, and they are automatically returned to the library.
Step 4 – Transfer the title to your supported eBook reader
· Connect the device to your computer.
· Open Adobe Digital Editions. If you have an Adobe ID, you will be prompted to authorize the device.
· Select the 'Library View' icon (in the upper left corner).
· Drag the eBook that you want to transfer to the eBook device icon in the left pane of Adobe Digital Editions.
· When the transfer is finished, disconnect your device and enjoy your eBook!
